Story of WOL3D
Our story towards success is as follows:
- Jan 2016- The concept for starting a 3D printing business never occurred to us before, but it did in January 2016 after we visited an exhibition in Mumbai and witnessed a real 3D printer in action. Pradeep Jain, one of our founders, said, "One machine can make anything, this is the future of technology," and this is when we three began our investigation and analysis. We researched numerous websites and travelled to China, Taiwan, UK, and a few other countries to meet producers and gain more in-depth knowledge.
- Apr 2016- In April 2016, we officially launched our brand in India under the name "World Of Lilliputs". We began by creating miniature versions of humans in our 350 square foot workspace. We purchased 3D printers, scanners, and raw materials for our brilliant idea. We held events, attended shows, and promoted our brand. We began looking for organizations where we might become Indian Partners, and that is when we signed our first deal with Flashforge.
- Oct 2016- We inaugurated our new office of three locations and our new brand name, "WOL3D," in October 2016. To make it simpler for customers to recognize our products, we added "3D" and preserved the initials from our previous brand name.
- Dec 2016- In December 2016, through inside 3D exhibition, the 3D Printing industry recognized our brand WOL3D.
- Apr 2017- We opened our first franchisee office in Pune in April of 2017. At this point, things began to change for us and we realized that we were adding value for our clients, resellers, and institutes. We currently have 8 offices around India and work with more than 100 reputable resellers. In Mumbai, the business capital of India, we moved our main office to a larger 5000 sq. ft. location. Our team now has more than 25 members in total. Our founder, Rahul Chandalia, always held the belief that "collaboration is the next big thing" as we developed as a team.
Vision
Our
vision is to continually grow and enhance our products like Itouch Plus
3D Pen, CR-Touch Auto Leveling Kit, Creator Pro Heating Build Plate,
Ganesha Pink 3D Pen, Twilight 10 Original DIY 3D Printer, etc., in order
to support the Indian market by making 3D printing more widely
available and more reasonably priced.
